Privacy Policy

Effective October 18, 2026

Richman Films (“we,” “us”) runs richmanfilms.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you fill out our contact form or pop-up form, we collect what you enter: your name, business name, email address, phone number, the type of project you’re interested in, and any message you write. We use it only to respond to your inquiry and to discuss your project. It is sent to our business email by our web host, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Information collected automatically

When you send a form, we also record the page you sent it from, the date and time, your IP address, and, if you came from an ad, the ad platform and campaign name in the link you clicked. This helps us understand which advertising brings us inquiries.

Our web host, Bluehost, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. It may also set a short-lived cookie to tell people apart from automated bots.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items:

  • Site features. Your browser stores a few small settings: whether you’ve already seen or sent our pop-up form (so we don’t show it again), which ad brought you to the site, and the last filter you picked on our Work page. These stay on your device and are not used to identify you.
  • Advertising and measurement. We use the Meta Pixel (from Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram) and Google advertising tools, including Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to record visits to our site and whether you contacted us. That lets us measure our ads and show our ads to people who have visited our site.

Advertising, including remarketing

We advertise on Google, on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and on other sites. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to our website and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising:

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features, such as remembering that you’ve already seen our pop-up, may not work if you do.

Videos and fonts from other companies

Our videos are hosted on Vimeo. A video player loads only when you click to play a video, and we ask Vimeo not to track you (“Do Not Track” mode). Our typefaces come from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers to load them. Each of these companies handles that information under its own privacy policy.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

  • with service providers that help us run the site and our business (such as our web host and email provider);
  • with advertising partners, as described above;
  • when required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries in our email for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep business records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws, and we will honor requests as those laws require.

Children

Our site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
