Anyone can point a camera at a burger. Making it look like it belongs in a national spot is a lighting job, and it’s the reason our work doesn’t look like a local ad.

“It’s your lighting.”

That’s what an art director at Grey Advertising told Sheldon when our early spots didn’t measure up. He spent the next years on set with top commercial DPs, learning how they worked. He’s been our director and DP ever since.

He’s directed sports and TV celebrities and more than one Oscar winner, but he’s best known for getting natural, believable performances out of business owners who’ve never been on camera.

Miriam Richman is a Producer at Richman Films with a background in media sales, television, and video production. She oversees pre-production, from script breakdowns and shot lists to scheduling, ensuring every shoot runs smoothly and efficiently. With experience in social media campaigns, content creation, and high-end food styling, Miriam combines creative vision, organization, and collaboration to bring each client’s vision to life. She holds a BA in TV and Radio from Brooklyn College. Miriam worked as a talent coordinator for The Maury Povich Show before Maury’s fascination with DNA testing!

Joh Lisa brings technical expertise and creative precision to his role as Production Manager and Audio Engineer at Richman Films. When he’s not behind the scenes producing exceptional work, he takes the stage as Joey Bowie, lead singer of Starman, a David Bowie tribute band.
